A recap please.
It does not seem that long ago that Garrett and I were celebrating the New Year of 2007 in mad, youthful zeal at the top of the Hilton in downtown Portland, in the fashion of the young and unattached. Bar hopping and... such. Careless, and truly without responsibilites. That year began with trips to Sunriver and good, rowdy times with friends. A memorable Valentines day that included a heart shaped pizza and soon another trip to the snow and loads of games and drinking. What more could a 20-something ask for in life? Then, lets see... what happened in March... oh yes! I found out I was pregnant. So ended the lifestyle of the young and restless. I think it's safe to say we were both a bit shell-shocked. We got over it. Eventually. So commences adulthood.
Moving in together turns out to be both:
a) loads of fun
b) extremely difficult
Learning to live with someone while you're pregnant and hormonal and adjusting to the changes of Life When Pregnant is not a walk in the park like I'm sure it sounds. It's actually a time bomb. We survived and thank God Garrett is a patient man. I've heard from sources that I wasn't completely unlikeable.
A romantic, fun and memorable birthday vacay at the beach (probably our last for awhile) and an emotional breakdown on the way home to remind us all that I'm still pregnant and this isn't just an easy-breezy relationship anymore..

Cars breaking left and right turns out to be a fun time, which got drawn out waaaaaaaaay too long and thank god we finally bit the bullet and just got a new car. I think Garrett's longboard getting run over was the final straw.

Our house slowly filling with baby paraphernalia and the slow realization that holy cow this is really happening: then the long long loooooong wait between my due date and when Jack is actually born (8 days).
Labor. Holy Cow. Jack is here. AMAZING.
Holiday frenzies with a new baby.......interesting.
And then suddenly... it's over.
And now 2008. What next?
