in which auntie car and uncle studmuffin host a slumber party

Friday night Garrett and I had a slumber party at our house. Eliana and Olivia (my two nieces) came over for the night and we had tons of fun. Starting with dinosaur baths, waffles and toasted eggs for breakfast and saturday morning cartoons, and the sun promising a beautiful day, it was looking like a perfect day. We took them to Coffee Culture for hot chocolate (and some delicious coffee for us) and then to Wildcat Park, home to the city's coolest playground. After that we tried out the new kid's cafe downtown, called Sweetpeas, which turned out to be not that cool and poorly run, and then home to take a breather and eat some real lunch. And if you think the fun stopped there it did not! After watching Finding Nemo, we took the girls miniature golfing which was hilarious. Olivia couldn't find the point, "what's the point? i don't know what the point is" she kept saying, but Eliana found a new calling in life, getting a hole-in-one and a few almosts. All-in-all it was a good little weekend. And today Garrett and I went on a little family walk downtown in the sunshine with Jack (who slept the whole time) and checked out the snowboards at Peak. Lots of fun.
