have you seen the magical bird?

it's beautiful and i see it almost every time I drive to monmouth. just standing in the field next to the road just north and downhill of the hospital, along hwy 99, before lewisburg. it's possibly a Great Egret, although I don't know for sure and either way, it's rare for this area because I can't find anything like it that's NOT rare, or even native. It looks like this, and hopefully one of these days I'll actually get a picture of it. There's two, because one day I saw a pair chatting. i'm fascinated!
