He thinks that kicking his legs is the most fun ever, and you know when he's excited about something because he will start kicking his legs ferociously. Kick-the-blanket-off-my-legs is his favorite game. And mirrors. Oh.my.gosh. mirrors. He loves them! I think if he was in one of those johnny-jump-ups in front of a mirror, he would be in heaven. Put him in front of a mirror and he is enthralled. Apparently he thinks he's the cutest thing ever, too. Yesterday we were in the car and Jack started throwing a fit, so we stopped and I was sitting in the back seat holding him when suddenly he just stopped crying and fussing; I turned to look at his face and he was smiling so huge... his face was directly in front of the little mirror on the back of the seat and as soon as he had noticed himself in the mirror it was like he forgot about everything else!
He's still growing fast, although I'm sure he's gearing up for another growth spurt. When he was sick we took him to the doctor and he weighed in at 17lbs 9oz, we didn't measure him so I don't know if he grew in length. ANYWAY. That's what's up with Jack for now.

i loved seeing him today at work. I love how when ever he meets eyes with you he just opens his mouth with the biggest smile ever and gets serious googley eyes, then tilts his head back and starts wiggling all around. He really is hilarious!
ps i saw a great egret at the corvallis airport yesterday
pretty much that bottom picture is the cutest thing since... sliced bread?
