the week that we're glad is over, and other little mentionables.

I just realized today that since I am always the one taking pictures of Jack, I never have any of Jack and I together. This is sad and it's misrepresenting our relationship: we are always together. Like peanut butter and jelly.

Well this has been a busy and..... I don't know, some adjective that means not that fun, week. Why is this, Carolynn? You may be asking. WELL. Have a seat and I'll tell you.

FIRST OF ALL, my mom moved out of her house into a new bungalow, as I like to refer to it, and we had a LOT of moving to do. This house she moved out of was the house we all grew up in. 20+ years of STUFF, if you know what I mean. So that included a lot of time spent over there packing up stuff, throwing away junk, throwing away stuff behind her back (you know how it goes- people always think they need to hang on to that "special trinket" and we all know that they don't need it at all. So when they look away, just throw it out); and then the big move was very interesting because even after she threw out SOO much stuff, when she got it all into said darling bungalow, she realized she still had too much stuff. So goodwill is now freshly stocked with lots of goodies! Go shopping.

In the midst of all this my lovely sister's wonderful children had sad little coughs. As in they were sick. As in contagious. And little Jack picked up those fabulous germs and contracted himself a fabulous little respiratory virus known as RSV. It's been a rough week with him sick, he got pretty bad for quite some time. His cough was terrible and he cried whenever he coughed, sometimes he would cough so much he would throw up... and it's so frustrating because as a parent, you feel like you should be able to help him and make him feel better! And there was hardly anything we could really do besides hold him and that just didn't seem like enough! BUT don't you worry, he is so much better now, well on his way to recovery and cheerful as can be when he's not sleeping, eating like a horse. So. This has been our week. And Garrett was having trouble waking up in the morning because of the time change and the lack of sleep he was getting in the night due to Jack's coughing/crying. But this too is better because I made him go to bed tonight at 8:30.

So HOORAY! Everything's getting better! :)

Okay, so here are some pictures of how cute Jack is.

He loves to grab things now... he's pretty good at it.

I know. You don't have to say it.
