Getting out of the house

Tonight: Date Night. I'm so excited, Garrett's parents are watching Jack this evening and we get to enjoy some adult time out on the town! We're going to Big River or Bar 101, and then we'll check out the new bar that Cloud 9 opened where the Chippery used to be. Very cool. I've been looking forward to it all week.

On the subject of Jack, he has been talking non-stop lately. He just sits wherever he sits and just makes noise. Lots of it. It's pretty adorable.
He's eating rice cereal now! He thinks it's fun and he loves it. He waits for the spoon with his mouth open and leeeeans towards it, very anticipatory. It's an event.

Jack and I went over to our friend Kelly's house this afternoon and I loved having some girl time! It was fantastic, and Jack loves Kelly. He just stared at her the whole time, fascinated. I think her voice sounded soothing to him, she has such a great voice. Anyways, it was fun and we're hoping for so much more of that! It makes me feel like a real person when I can get out of the house and do things with other people. I think it's called being... social?
